Clarion Marine Speaker by JL Audio

The Clarion brand is being relaunched under the ownership of renowned brand, JL Audio. The challenge required designing two speakers: a premium design and a sports design under the Clarion name, that live up to JL’s quality. They would need to hint at JL’s essence without being identifiable as a JL product.

JL Audio’s Clarion line of Marine Speakers were designed and revised within three, two-week stage gates (ideate, refined design, and finalized design). Well over 100 iterations were explored, yielding a few exceptional final designs. Extraordinary attention was devoted to research and aesthetic exploration to deliver an exceptional concept. The final concepts yielded an attractive artifact reminiscent of the quality and refined modern aesthetic one would expect from JL Audio.
